The Luminaire Collection
"Light should not interpret architecture; it must transform it!
Light should not enhance space and form; it should empower it!
Light is the life-force of man-made structures.
It is through light that events become meaningful.
Light marks our presence as alive and self-aware.
Burned in memory, light is profoundly experienced."
-Edward P. Bartholomew
The beauty of light fixtures are that they are both beautiful during the day and night. I wanted to carry this motif into this collection. The shapes of this collection of studs were heavily influenced by mid-century modern brass pendants and are equally wearable during the day and going out at night. They stand out and compliment all skin types during the day and glow a subtle white at night. Like diffused, frosted glass used in many light fixtures, I’ve developed a new technique to create a matte, textured surface to the resin to contrast the smooth brass metal in these pieces.
